Black Bean Fudge Brownies

Black Bean Fudge Brownies

Secretly healthy Black Bean Fudge Brownies made with black beans, maple syrup, and a touch of avocado oil. No one can guess these are made with beans! They taste like a rich, chocolate fudge brownie and are the perfect sweet treat.

My sister and I cannot get enough of these black bean brownies. Like, for a few weeks I was making these every 24 hours. Yep, they are THAT GOOD. And because I have made this recipe so many times, I can say with 100% certainty that they are the best black bean brownies out there.

Let’s talk ingredients

Since this recipe was developed and really honed in during quarantine, I had to reach for pantry staples. And the pantry was pretty scarce with no access to any type of flour, dairy product, or eggs. Here is the breakdown for what you need:

black beans

rolled oats

maple syrup + coconut sugar

cacao powder

vanilla extract, baking soda, baking powder, salt

almond milk

chocolate chips

All you have to do is toss the ingredients into a food processor, pour the brownie batter into a loaf pan, top with extra chocolate chips, and bake for 15 minutes. The batter is vegan, so no shame in tasting a spoonful or two! Let the brownies cool completely before slicing. Store leftovers in the fridge.
